The United Way of Central Missouri presented a $10,000 grant award to the Missouri Mental Health Foundation to expand the #StopTheStigmaMO billboard campaign. This will allow the expansion of 40 additional billboards in their service area including Callaway, Camden, Cole, Maries, Moniteau, Miller, Morgan, Osage, and Phelps counties in central Missouri. The grant was from a Mental Health Fund established by the United Way in response to the community health assessment’s finding that mental health was a determining factor in the community’s overall health outcomes, said Ann Bax, president of the United Way of Central Missouri. We are honored and excited to partner with the United Way in battling the stigma and raising awareness of mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
