2020 has been a year like no other! Missouri Mental Health Foundation, like the rest of humankind has faced the world of virtual– giving a whole new meaning of doing business in a completely new way!
October 6, 2020 marked the 13th anniversary of the MMHF Champions Awards Ceremony. This ceremony was an opportunity to come together to share a common goal – a goal to continue the important journey of raising awareness and understanding of issues impacting individuals and families living with mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance use disorders. The ceremony was done virtual this year with masks in place, social distancing a part of the program, and elbow taps instead of hugs. The recognition and respect for the champions, the nominees and all of the many supporters who made this possible was evidenced by the many folks who took the time to tune in and to check out the virtual ceremony.
Congratulations to the 2020 winners; Tim Conroy, Candace Cunningham, and John Stuckey. And congratulations to the nominees whose contributions to their communities exemplify commitment and compassion.
This was also an opportunity for the Foundation to recognize and honor the hard work, time, and dedication of Patty Henry as she steps down from a nine-year tenure as Executive Director. Wishing her much happiness and goodness in her next chapter of life and thanks to her for the heart and soul she put into MMHF.
